US Weather gadget update

We updated the US weather gadget for Google home pages. New features are
  • You can choose among many different overlays when selecting the "MyView" tab (e.g. IR Satellite, VIS Satellite, ice, snow and snow warning, 24h precipiation, ...)
  • height of the module is now configurable
  • minimize the weather station - click on the small arrow in the upper left corner
  • zooming by double-click (left zooms in, right zooms out)
Please let us know if there is a feature which you would like to see.

Update: Because of the high traffic generated by the "MyView" on the NRLSSC server the feature showing different views like IR Satellite, Wind, ... had to be removed. We are searching for an alternative.

Feature request:
I still have another gadget to do a 3-4 day forcast.. it has the usual icons indicating clouds/sun etc with a high low prediction. I know you can click on the local weather button but I'd like something that shows all the time so I can quickly glance at it. I'd think it might fit in with small icons next to the map/radar/myview buttons? anyway just a thought for a quick glance forecast icon option

Allow the user to set the reload interval. I would like 10 minutes. Old radar images are of little use. Also, have an option to keep the current zoom, pan, and display of the local insert, after a reload.

Also allow more flexibility on the size of the image/gadget window. I use it in my sidebar, and the height is very limiting.

I would like to see a time stamp on the radar image so I can see hold the data is.

That is "how old" the data is. oops

The radar image has an abnormal amount of ground clutter around major cities. I don't see this on other radar. I think a better radar source is needed.

Anyone else missing the "MyView" tab?

Where's the MyView tab? it says u can configure, but where?

If I click on the weather station and it expands, how do I get it to return to the smaller size?

It seems I have to go into edit settings to get it to go back to the small size.

Got to be a better way.

Also, the change station link failed to work. Is it supposed to go to a list of stations?

I like the idea of a time stamp on the radar data.

To close the big weather station hit the orange "close" button on the top of the insert.

Timestamp of Radar image is now available. Please turn it on in the configuration section of the module.

We are working on the option to change the weather station.

Where is the configuration section?

The Celsius change in the Google gadget doesn't work... it works in the weather Bug page though..

For the people asking where the configuration menu is. I was one of you when I got it, and it isn't explained very well. It is in the down arrow menu. Look at the top of the gadget and you will see a down arrow (thats it) and a - and a X.

Love this gadget, and it likely will come in handy this Spring and Summer (also known as Tornado and 'Cane season).

If it were possible, add the Isobars, along with the highs and lows.

Good Job !

Weather gadget as of 10/16 won't use the zip code. Map always centers back in Kansas after a refresh. I have my zip set to 08837.

Gadget on web refresh centers on Kansas no matter what zip code you enter. The problem started on Oct 16.
